Valentine's Day Love Note from Thomas

Dear Anne,

Our marriage is only hours old, and our courtship is not much older than that. I know the novelty will wear off, and life will intrude before long. But it is not the newness of you, the newness of us, that has captured me. It is the opposite. It is as if we always were and always will be, as though our love and our lives sprang from the same source and will return to that source in the end, intertwined and indistinguishable. We are ancient. Prehistoric and predestined. And I will never get enough.

Valentine's Day Love Note from Noah

Dear Mer,

I’ve told you you’re beautiful many times, but it’s more than the obvious things. Every part of you is beautiful. The arch of your foot. Your toes. Your elbows. Your knees. Your freaking armpits are pretty. I know you’re laughing, but it’s true. Who has pretty armpits? Mercedes Lopez, that’s who. You are pretty in all the obvious ways, but it’s the beauty of all your small parts and abstract pieces that made me see that the little things are really the big things.

Love, Noah

Catch up with Blue and Wilson

Anyone want a little more Blue and Wilson? I've had them answer 10 totally random questions for you!

Would you rather have a golden voice or a silver tongue?

Blue: Wilson already has a golden voice and a silver tongue. I have neither.
Wilson: You have an honest tongue. That's far better. And I like it when you sing. It's endearing.

Would you rather lose the ability to read or lose the ability to speak?

Blue: I'd rather not be able to speak.
Wilson: I can't imagine not being able to read. I'd give up speech,
Blue: I would miss your accent. I might even miss your history lessons.
Wilson: And I would miss your snark.

Would you rather know the history of every subject you touched or be able to talk to animals?

Blue: Wilson is hyperventilating. You've just excited him to the point of insanity. Knowing the history of everything he touches? The man would never sleep.
Wilson: I wouldn't. Just the thought is intoxicating. How can we make this happen?

If you had a smell, what would it be?

Wilson: Blue smells like trees. Woodsy and clean. Juniper and sage. It's my favorite smell in the whole world.
Blue: If I smell like the wood I carve, you smell like the books you read.
Wilson: Old and musty?

What is something you will NEVER do again?

Blue: Break into my high school. My days of trespassing are behind me.
Wilson: Underestimate Blue. She never ceases to amaze me.

Would you rather be able to fly or be completely invisible for one day?

Blue: I've been invisible. I'd rather fly.
Wilson: You've not been invisible a day in your life, luv. When you walk in a room, everyone takes notice. But flying for me too. Who doesn't dream of flying?

What personality trait do you admire most?

Blue: Honesty.
Wilson: I agree. The ability to be genuine, to be real, even when being real isn't especially popular or attractive.

What personality trait do you dislike the most?

Wilson: I'm really not fond of know-it-alls.
Blue: That's because you are one. Being with you is like being with Google. You're just very sweet about it.
Wilson: I am?
Blue: You are.

Are you generally early or late?

Wilson: Blue is purposely late. She enjoys making an entrance.
Blue: Wilson is far too polite to ever be late. We balance each other out.

What are you addicted to?

Blue: A stuffy English professor and his cello music.
Wilson: A saucy artist who smells like wood stain and tastes like green apples.
